Divya Murali is experienced in economics and policy work, with a rich experience and deep understanding of the Indian policy space. She has worked as a researcher in the industry and academia, delivering projects in various sectors including urban governance, education and skills development. She leverages on data backed evidence to deliver tangible solutions and insights. Divya has been involved in empirical economic research as well. Notably, her work on macro stress testing of Indian banks was presented at the World Finance Conference 2014, Venice and the research were later published as a paper in the Journal of Economics and Finance. She was also involved in projects with the Reserve Bank of India and State Finance Commission of Uttarakhand, India.
Prior to joining ISAS, Divya worked as an executive in the corporate governance and research team at the Singapore Indian Development Association. She graduated with a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Madras and a Master degree in Economics from the Madras School of Economics, Chennai.
