    Tanujja Dadlani

    Introduction

Tanujja Dadlani has a Master’s degree in Film Studies from the University College London, and a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Singapore Institute of Management (awarded by University of London). Her research interests include South Asia, nationalism, and colonisation. Her research lies in the convergence of film and politics, where she has conducted research on the socio-political portrayal of race and religion in Indian cinema.

Prior to joining ISAS, Tanujja wrote and directed a film exploring the political identity of the Sindhi people, within the framework of Barry Buzan’s ‘People, States and Fear’. Her work delved into the history of partition, the enduring legacy of colonisation in India and Pakistan, and the consequential effects on current affairs and nationalism.
