    Research Internship

    ISAS offers research internships to students who are interested in furthering their research on South Asia. This fits well into ISAS’ educational role of nurturing students to develop greater awareness and understanding of the region. The internship will also serve as a testing ground for potential research assistant appointments at the Institute.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collate research inputs and data for the Director and researchers;
    • Assist in organising events;
    • Work on social media outreach efforts; and
    • Participate in meetings and discussions.

    Note

    Interns will be required to submit a report on their internship experience at the end of their stint at ISAS.

    Requirements:

    • Have a strong interest in South Asia, preferably with a foundation in tertiary-level course(s) on South Asia; and
    • Demonstrate an interest in South Asia, as shown through participation in events, lectures, ad-hoc school programmes or activities relating to the region.

    Commitment:

    You should be able to commit full time for three months. Exception may be made on a case-to-case basis.

    Selection:

    The selection round may include an interview by the Director, Deputy Director and/or researchers of the Institute.
