The Government of India has announced a dedicated freight corridor network between Delhi
and Mumbai as well as between Ludhiana to Kolkata. The Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor
(DMIC) covers an overall length of 1,515 kilometres and passes through the states of Uttar
Pradesh, the National Capital Region (NCR) of Delhi,3 Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and
Maharashtra, with end terminals at Dadri in the NCR of Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru Port
near Mumbai.
