    Manager/Assistant Manager, Editorial and Social Media

     

    Established in 2004, the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) is an autonomous research institute at the National University of Singapore. It is dedicated to research on contemporary South Asia. The Institute seeks to promote understanding of this vital region of the world, and to communicate knowledge and insights about it to policymakers, the business community, academia and civil society, in Singapore and beyond.

     

    We are seeking a manager/assistant manager to manage ISAS’ editorial and social media responsibilities which include:

     

    • Handling the copyediting and proofreading of ISAS publications.
    • Managing the conceptualisation and printing of ISAS’ annual reports, newsletters and other publications.
    • Managing procurements relating to ISAS’ publications and renewal of printing permit(s).
    • Managing ISAS’ website and social media efforts and initiatives.
    • Handling the ISAS podcast and book reviews, including organising interviews.
    • Overseeing the conceptualisation and implementation of new initiatives/programmes to enhance ISAS’ publications and social media presence.

     

    Requirements:

     

    • At least five years of experience in editing, proofreading and producing publications.
    • Strong knowledge of current affairs and in developments in South Asia, in particular, and internationally, in general.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, and a team player.
    • Able to perform effectively and efficiently under tight schedules.
    • Able to manage multiple responsibilities and projects.
    • Focus-driven with an exceptional attention to details.
    • Proficient in MS Word, Adobe Acrobat and other editing applications.
