    Management Assistant Officer

     

    Established in 2004, the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) is an autonomous research institute at the National University of Singapore. It is dedicated to research on contemporary South Asia. The Institute seeks to promote understanding of this vital region of the world, and to communicate knowledge and insights about it to policy makers, the business community, academia and civil society, in Singapore and beyond.

     

    Job Description

     

    The Management Assistant Officer will undertake the following key roles and responsibilities:

     

    1. General office management. This includes monitoring supplies, making purchases, handling office-related matters such as photocopying, scanning and binding documents, as well as preparing staff workstations and managing reception duties.
    2. Support for events. This includes pre-event preparations, event management and post-event requirements.
    3. Support for publications. This involves liaising with publishers on purchases, maintaining records of ISAS’ publications and despatching ISAS’ publications to stakeholders and constituents.
    4. Pantry management. This includes maintaining and replenishing supplies and ensuring the general cleanliness of the pantry.
    5. Ad hoc responsibilities. This includes undertaking and assisting in other related administrative responsibilities.

     

    Qualifications

     

    • GCE ‘A’ Level or Diploma holder.
    • Positive working attitude and willingness to learn.
    • A good team player who is self-motivated and well organised.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
