    5 December 2024

This South Asia Scan analyses the import content of Sri Lanka’s exports by category to identify vulnerabilities and inform resilient policy measures. Sri Lanka’s export sectors are vulnerable due to high reliance on imported inputs, exposing the economy to global supply chain disruptions. Diversifying exports, enhancing agriculture and addressing supply chain vulnerabilities are critical for aligning with evolving global trade dynamics.
