    QUAD-ASEAN Cooperation on Climate Change and Critical Minerals

    The Quad’s emergence and revival is steeped in the realities of the Indo-Pacific. Initially motivated by growing Chinese assertiveness, the group has now been recast as a public goods provider. Also at the heart of the Indo-Pacific is the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). For the Quad to succeed as a public goods provider, ASEAN will be critical. Can the Quad cooperate to advance mutual interests and address shared concerns? This report covers the perspectives from ASEAN and the Quad countries to identify where cooperation can be catalysed on climate change and critical minerals.
